BEANS PORIYAL

                         A simple & healthy poriyal which tastes as a best side dish for Sambar Rice,Rasam. The same procedure can be made for Carrot Poriyal by replacing Beans with Carrot.
INGREDIENTS

BEANS
2 Cups
MOONG DHAL
½ Cup
ONION
½
COCONUT
2 Tbsp
MUSTARD SEEDS
½ Tsp
URAD DHAL
¼ Tsp
RED CHILLY
1
SALT
To Taste

Pressure cook the Moong dhal for 1 whistle. It should not be mushy.Chop the Beans,Onion finely.

Heat oil in a kadai. Add mustard seeds. Allow it to splutter. Then add Urad dhal. Now add Onion. Fry till it turns pink. Add the chopped beans.

Sprinkle water & cover it with a lid. Add salt.

Add moong dhal and give a quick stir.

Keep the flame low.

Add the grated Coconut.

Instead of Coconut you can also add fried gram powder.
